Wednesday's Writerly Happenings

We are always amazed at the power of the written word. Literature has the capacity to delight and unhinge us. It makes our skin warm one moment, and the next moment it blackens our innards and makes us feel like subtracted things. For some, standing on the precipice of publication, the vast future of printed language holds a romance unparalleled. For others, in sarcophagus state, the written word can only act as a dilutant, a potent liquid to wash away past accomplishments. This week we see Trotsky revisited. Hobart talks book deals with two newly inked authors. David Foster Wallace is back at it from the grave. Dzanc gives us reason to get off our asses.
