Around The World In Ten Clicks

The Internet smashes down walls. We are free to roam, to explore new places and different people. But often enough we put the walls back up. Often enough we grow complacent, existing in our own homegrown communities, interacting with the same people, reading the same writers, checking in on the same news. It’s a big world, with thousands and thousands of authors, poets, journalists, etc. That’s why today we’re skipping our usual sources for literature news and instead taking stock of the stories happening outside of our comfort zone. We visit Vietnam and Armenia, we jet off to Germany and China, Africa, India and Iceland. Travel provides ample rewards, one of which is learning about new people, alternative cultures. Here’s a glimpse into the world at large, and what the writers there are plotting. — Kevin Murphy
