Taking a couple steps back from this issue, I’m noticing that (1) when you fit them all on a single piece of paper in size 1.8 font, the characters form the distinct outline of the Virgin Mary — see my eBay auction for more details, and (2) this is the most diverse issue of a magazine I’ve yet to oversee. Contained herein: a guide to Nigerian twin lore, a guide to beating Dragon’s Lair, sad paintings, carnival photos, text collages, DANCELAND, a fictional review of a fictional book, a lyric review of an unnamed real book, terrifying excursions, austere poems, generous poems, and an epitaph for the man I could accidentally become in a decade if I don’t make sure and keep my bowling average above 80. Enjoy, indulge, briefly skim the text for main ideas, then read it aloud to a college friend who just had a baby. Her kid sucks next to this. No, hey. I’m really sorry. I’m sorry I said that. — Gabe Durham
