There Exists Now a Book

Zach Savich and I have, in recent correspondences, dared each other into inventing a variation on the form of the Book Review. Introducing “There Exists Now A Book,” a series of reviews in which the subject’s title and author remain anonymous.
The constraint immediately poses a series of challenges: How to discuss a book specifically enough without revealing too much? How to cite without true quotation? How to x without y? And why would you ever want to?
